I’ve never seen recent paintings by Andrew Wyeth until today. The haunting loneliness has been replaced with a peaceful serenity; all the harrowing beiges and tans and dried husks of wheat, have all been let go in favor of cool blues and ocean whites; a light breeze on a sunny and lazy day, rather then a dirty mist on the day after your father’s funeral day.
